Christmas Cake Decorating with Wendy Dobson from Cakes of Distinction
We are absolutely delighted to have Wendy & Elisha from Cakes of Distinction joining us for two extra-special Christmas Workshops.
Wendy has been baking and decorating stunning Special Occasion and Wedding Cakes for over 20 years. It is her absolute passion! She has attended numerous decorating classes around the world, learning different techniques and keeping up-to-date with the latest trends in Cake Decor. Earlier this year she completed a Diploma Course in Wedding Cake’s at the renowned Peggy Porschen Academy in London.
Wendy has taught Cake Decorating classes all over New Zealand, and regularly travels to New Caledonia to teach.
Elisha is Wendy’s daughter-in-law and she is an avid baker and decorator. Elisha comes with a wealth of experience too and is always full of great ideas.
About these Workshops
In these 3-hour hands-on workshops you will ice 4 different Vanilla Christmas Cookies & 4 cupcake-sized Christmas Fruit Cakes. All cakes & cookies are baked using “real” ingredients – butter, eggs, Heilala Vanilla – the good things you would use at home! These cakes are yours to take with you at the conclusion of the workshop.
You will also be taught by Wendy how to ice and decorate an 8” Christmas Cake (within 15 minutes) – using fondant and lace – as in the lovely picture above.
Included in the workshop price is a copy of Christmas Cupcakes – a gorgeous little hardcover book with 25 achievable designs that you can easily replicate at home once you know the basics (rrp $19.95).
All equipment, cakes and icing are supplied, all you need to bring is an apron and a container to take your cakes home in.
We only have 2 dates available for these workshops, and each hands-on workshop is strictly limited to 10 participants; so please don’t delay – we expect them to book out quickly.
